After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, we take you for a ride to Kargil, covering the Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers this offers us a breathtaking view of the confluence of two rivers, a wooden bridge, Moonland -an offbeat area in Lamayuru between Leh and Kargil. The next place will be Lamayuru Monastery- situated in the surreal Moonland with crater-like formations. This 11th-century gompa is one of the oldest in Ladakh and belongs to the Drikung Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
