The tour price: what USD 3,500 to 5,500 buys
Our guided motorcycle tours are priced per rider and are all-inclusive on the ground. The band across our routes is roughly USD 3,500 to 5,500 per rider, depending on length (9 to 19 days), region and hotel grade. The current price for each tour is on its page and confirmed in writing before you pay a deposit.
Included in that figure on every tour:
- Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 or Classic 350 with panniers and crash guards, fuel for the whole route, and a spare motorcycle in the backup vehicle
- All accommodation (hotels, heritage stays and camps on remote stages) and most meals (breakfast and dinner daily, lunch on riding days)
- English-speaking tour leader, sweep rider, mechanic, backup vehicle and driver, oxygen on high-altitude routes
- Inner-line and restricted-area permits, monument and park entry fees on the itinerary, airport transfers
- Bike damage waiver up to a capped excess (the exact excess is on your quote)
Not included: international flights, Indian visa, travel insurance, riding gear, tips, alcohol, personal spending and anything marked optional on the itinerary.
Worked example: a 12-day Ladakh ride from the USA

Why prices differ between routes
- Altitude and remoteness. Ladakh, Spiti and Zanskar routes need permits, oxygen, higher-spec bikes and camps in places with no hotels. That pushes the price up compared with Rajasthan or South India.
- Length. The 19-day Leh Ladakh expedition costs more in total but less per day than a 9-day tour, because airport transfers, bike prep and permits are fixed costs.
- Hotel grade. Rajasthan tours can use heritage palaces that cost more per night than mountain guesthouses. We tell you the hotel list before you book.
- Group size. Fixed departures run with 6 to 12 riders. Private groups of four or more can choose dates; smaller private groups pay a supplement because the crew costs are shared by fewer people.
Where you can save, and where you should not
Sensible savings
- Share a room: the single supplement is the biggest optional cost.
- Fly midweek and book flights four to six months ahead; India fares swing by 30 to 40 percent.
- Choose a shoulder-season departure (early June or late September for Ladakh) when both flights and tour dates have space.
- Bring your own gear. Buying a full set in India is possible but choice is limited outside the big cities.
False economies
- Insurance without motorcycle or altitude cover. A helicopter evacuation from Ladakh costs more than the whole tour.
- Unsupported rentals to save on the crew. Breakdowns, punctures and altitude sickness are routine on these roads; the backup vehicle and mechanic are what make the trip enjoyable rather than survivable.
- Cheap operators quoting far below the band above are usually cutting hotel quality, bike maintenance, or the sweep rider and mechanic. Ask exactly who rides with the group.
How payment works
- You receive a written itinerary and price in USD (or GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD on request) listing every inclusion.
- A 50 percent deposit by bank transfer or card confirms your place. The balance is due 40 days before departure.
- Cancellation is free up to 40 days before departure. The full policy is on the payment and cancellation policy page.
- On tour, you need only Indian rupees for personal spending; ATMs in Leh, Manali, Jaipur and every city accept Visa and Mastercard.
