Snow Leopard Trek Ladakh

Arrive New Delhi International Airport by flight. Meet our representative at exit gate & they will take you to pre- booked Hotel. After refreshment & change you will be taken for full day guided tour of Old Delhi Visiting the India’s largest mosque Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Later we walk down or take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, the old marketplace where we can have unlimited shopping of variety of Indian attires, dry fruits and man other articulates. Then we will move forward to reach Red Fort, built in the year 1648 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.

New Delhi tour comprises of visit to Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. Further we drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Until 1950 it was known as Viceroy's House & served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India. We will also visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of Mughal architecture in India. Qutub Minar, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. It is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. Qutub Minar & its monuments are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight stay in Delhi.

2nd day of journey will start from Delhi airport by catching an hour spectacular flight to Leh that will fly over the Trans-Himalayas and Zanskar ranges into Leh. The airport is at 11500 ft above sea Level where you will land. After arrival check in the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure for individual activities, Evening stroll around Leh market and back to hotel for overnight stay. Overnight stay at hotel.

Today we will visit Spituk Monastery, whose oldest section was established in the 15th century CE. The monastery belongs to the Yellow Hat School of Tibetan Buddhism. Around 30 monks reside in the monastery. You can visit several temples dedicated to various deities. The most popular ones house the Crown Buddha and 21 Taras, which were brought from Tibet. On the way, you can stop at the Hall of Fame, a small museum displaying arms and memorabilia from Indian military history. Back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, a steady climb to the Shanti Stupa, situated on a hilltop in Changspa, built by Japanese Buddhists in 1984. It offers an excellent vantage point, perfect for viewing the Leh Valley and the Ladakh Range. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, stroll to Leh Market and visit Snow Leopard Conservancy. After Lunch you will be drive towards Thiksey Monastery. Thiksey Monastery, located on a hillock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is particularly vital for its enormous situated statue of the Maitreya and is likewise known for its (Dukhang) get together lobby which houses several rectangular petition books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we keep on passing through arrangement of chortens to visit Shey Palace the previous summer royal residence of the King of Ladakh. Supper and Over Night at the Hotel.

Today post breakfast drive to Zingchen about an hour drive along the Indus river to Zingchen then Trek to Husing for about 2 hrs. Set up the camp at an height of 13000ft. This will be your base for next 4 days while scanning for Snow panther. Husing is the home for uncommon imperil Snow panther, Beside Snow panther one could find a good pace sheeps and Ladakh urial, both are wild sheep fundamentally the same as marco polo sheep. Which, is the primary supplicate of Snowleopard. Next to wild sheep great opportunities to spot Golden Eagle, Lammergeyer, Snow cockerel, Partridges and finches. Husing is situated among Rumbak and Zingchen towns in the Hemis high height national park, National park covers a territory of 3200 sq kms. Your camp will be set up in a tight chasm on the bank of Rumbak stream. Overnight stay at Camp.

Explore Husing and surrounding valley in search of snow leopard. February till March is the best season and best time to spot Snow Leopard. These whole valley known as the home for snow-Leopard for it rocky mountain formation and gorged terrain. Overnight stay at camp.

Today search on Snow Leopard & Other Wild Life. Overnight at Camp.

Search for Snow Leopard near Rumbak village. Overnight at camp.

Quest for Snow Leopard at Rumbak Valley and Yurutse village. Overnight at Camp.

Return back and later drive back to Leh. Evening time free at leisure to relax. Overnight at hotel.

Drive to Alchi Monastery by means of Likir Monastery on the way Visit Alchi Monastery which is the eleventh Century was established by Rinchen Zangpo . The religious community was structured by craftsmen from Kashmir and Tibet. In plain view are exceptional Mandalas and decorations that are suggestive of the Byzantine craftsmanship. Alchi is viewed as the most excellent religious community of Ladakh, the five sanctuaries are designed with frescoes from the eleventh to 12 Century brightened - they are a genuine fortune of prior Buddhist workmanship in the Tibetan style. Drive back to Leh on the way visit Basgo Palace. Overnight stay at Leh.

Early morning transfer to airport to fly back to Delhi.
