Kathmandu and Nagarkot Tour in Nepal

Post breakfast, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square followed by trip to Nagarkot.

Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon is a famous tourist destination and takes you to tour of past and looks like a living museum of medieval Nepal. It’s narrow alleys, red-brick temples and traditional wood carvings give amazing experience. After exploring Bhakatpur, drive to Nagarkot- a peaceful hill station. Breathe in fresh mountain air, watch the hills that get fade into misty twilight.

The next morning, wake before dawn and witness a sight that you will never forget- the sunrise over the Himalayas. The sky slowly turned shades of pink and gold, and the snowy peaks glowed with morning light. Come back to your hotel, take a light trek to Changunarayan Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples and marvel at its ancient carvings. Later, trip will drive back to Kathmandu, where the evening buzz of Thamel’s lively streets welcome back.

Changunarayan Temple a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated near Bhaktapur, is a significant historical temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Changu Narayan form. Built is two-tiered Pagoda structure, the temple architecture looks very rich with wood and stone carvings. After exploring this massive temple, return Kathmandu.

Explore the grandeur of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the spiritual power of Pashupatinath Temple situated near the Bagmati River, and the serene energy of Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest in the world. Each site looks alive with devotion and history, leaving you humbled and inspired.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: A living museum- situated in the heart of Kathmandu, is a historically significant royal complex where courtyards are surrounded by beautiful carved temples, old royal palaces, and shrines. The intricate wooden windows, the scent of incense, and the rhythmic sound of temple bells created an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

Pashupatinath Temple: One of the holiest Hindu shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. The moment you arrive here, you will feel the air filled with devotion and chants echoing along the banks of the Bagmati River, sadhus sitting in meditation.

Boudhanath: By the end of the day, visit the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest and most peaceful stupas in the world. The giant white dome is painted with the watchful eyes of Buddha, seemed to glow in the golden evening light. Join pilgrims walking clockwise around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels, and murmuring mantras. It is a perfect place to end the day that reminds me how peace can be both seen and felt.
