You will meet and greet then transfer to the hotel, and later tour the capital of modern India, the heart of the country, an interesting mix of ancient monuments and crowded bazaars, medieval buildings and modern buildings. Visit the Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, the Jama Masjid mosque, Humayun's tomb and the Qutb Minar tower, followed by a drive along the embankment headquarters, the Red Fort, Connaught place, the shopping area.

Morning drive to Jaipur, on arrival check-in into the hotel. Free time for personal activities.

Excursion to Amber, a fortified citadel a few kilometers from Jaipur, a complex made of tracery, mirrors, semi-precious stones, miniatures and decorations: with its splendid richly adorned rooms, Amber brings to life the legends of love and battles of the ancient Rajputs. Return to the "pink city" and stop at the 'palace of the winds', a high facade interspersed with windows through which the courtesans could look without being seen, at the city palace, at the surprising outdoor astronomical observatory.

Transfer to Fatehpur Sikri, a suggestive ghost town, and continue to Agra. Visit of the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), the white "marble dream", and of the Red Fort, immense and magnificent, testimony of the greatness of the Mughal empire of which Agra was the capital.

To Jhansi on the Shatabdi Express train, arriving two hours and thirty minutes later. Drive to Orcha (26 km, about 45 minutes) and visit the capital of the powerful Bundela kingdom which still retains a fascinating center full of temples, gardens, palaces.

Transfer to Khajuraho and visit the complex of Tantric shrines, temples, known for the refined erotic sculptures depicting men and women entangled in acrobatic hugs.

Flight to Varanasi, an ancient city sacred to the cult of Shiva, an important religious and artistic center. In the late afternoon the evocative “aarti” ceremony, the collective prayer that takes place in the flickering light of the oil lamps placed in the temples, on the revered waters of the Ganges River, on the “Ghats”, the steps on the banks.

In the light of dawn, in the thin air, in a boat gliding slowly on the sacred Ganges. In the background, the city that is revealed to the sound of the flutes of the temple of Shiva, and then priests, beggars, holy men, pilgrims, faithful in search of purification, women, children. Among sarce cows and shops, temples and crowded alleys, visit the old part of the city and in the afternoon excursion to nearby Sarnath, a historical place of Buddhist worship.
