11 Nights / 12 Days Dharamshala to Srinagar Road Trip Via Leh Ladakh

You will meet our representative at the hotel. After wash & change you will be taken for Dharamshala sightseeing visiting Norbulingka for a visit and lunch at Tibetan restaurant and Gyuto monastery after visiting the check-in hotel and later you will be taken to Dalai Lama Temple. Free time leisure to relax in the local market.

After breakfast you will drive to Manali en-route visiting Baijnath Temple. Lunch at Mandi. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening you will walk on Mall road.

After breakfast, visit to Hadimba Devi Temple, dedicated to Hadimba Devi, built in 1553 in a clearing among ancient deodars. Built by Maharaja Bahadur Singh, the 27m high pagoda temple has a 3 tier roof and some fine naturalistic wood carving of animals and plants, especially around the doorway. The structure itself is relatively crude, and the pagoda is far from perfectly perpendicular. Massive deodar planks form the roof, but in contrast to the massive scale of the exterior wooden structures the brass image of the goddess Hadimba.

After the visit we will move towards Jispa via Atal Tunnel going through Pir Panjal mountain range of Himalayas at an 10000 ft. above sea level (world longest tunnel >9.5 km< above 3000 mt. altitude), further tunnel experience witness the Snow covered mountains of Lahaul Valley. Enjoy your dinner.

After breakfast start drive towards Leh,over the giant Baralacha La Pass (4850m), en-route crossing high altitude picturesque villages Darcha & Jispa. Apart from the high passes, we’re also passing by Suraj Tal and Deepak Tal, both of these lakes are worthy of taking a halt at and getting photographed as backdrops. Also passing via Tanglang-La Pass which is the second-highest motor able mountain pass in the world at the height of 5300 meters.

After breakfast, you will be taken for a visit of Leh visiting Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis Monastery.

After breakfast we will start driving from Leh to Nubra Valley passing by world highest motorable pass Khardung la (5602m). After a photo stop at Khardung la downhill rides towards Nubra valley (The land of Mongolian camels). Upon arrival check-in at the camp. Post refreshment proceeds to the desert, where you can experience the double-humped (Mongolian) camel ride or spend quality time in the heart of the cold desert.

After breakfast proceed to visit Pangong Lake, en route visit the biggest statue of Buddha at Diskit (Hunder Valley). Today’s ride will be challenging but with panoramic view of Himalayan high mountains, via stopover at the bank of Shyok River for photography, afternoon reaches at Pangong Camp-site. Post refreshment, you will be free to ride/roam around the world famous Pangong Lake located at an altitude of 14300 ft. from sea level, sharing the borders of two countries India & China.

After having breakfast will start moving towards Leh passing by worlds 02nd highest motor-able pass, Changla Pass (5360m) above sea level, en route Thiksey monastery.

After breakfast at hotel, we will move towards Kargil, en route stop at Magnetic hill & Gurudwara Patthar Sahib and confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers, before reaching at historical town of Kargil. Today’s drive is going to be comparatively more comfortable as the roads between Kargil and Leh are relatively decent. We will cross over picturesque mountain passes of Namikla pass (3718m) above the sea level & Fotula pass (4109m) above the sea level.

Post breakfast will start from Kargil to Srinagar, en-route visit to Kargil war memorial. This memorial is dedicated to the martyred soldiers who gave their lives for our tomorrow in Kargil War (3 May – 26 July 1999). After the visit, our drive continues to Srinagar en route Drass (02nd Coldest Inhabited place in the world), Zoji-la pass (3550m) above the sea level.
