Alliyas lake is situated at the altitude of 4100m from sea level on the base of mighty peak Gepanggoh (6050m). It is one of the biggest glacial lake of Himachal state and very less explored area of Lahoul valley.
Approach to lake starts with half an hours climb from road head and gradual traversing with little ups and down in couple of places. It’s easy to moderate graded trek and any one can do it if one has little experience of walking on narrow and rough rails.
The main Beauty of lake is watching floating ice bergs falling from a huge glacier at one side of lake and blue clear water and alpine flowers (bristorta mainly) bloom all around the shore. And many number of waterfalls coming down from high mountains. Alliyas lake trek will give an experience of being in the middle of Himalaya and its natural beauty.

  1. Day 01 Arrive Manali

    Today you will arrive at Manali, free time for personal activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

  2. Day 02 DRIVE TO SISSU and TREK TO GORUDUGH 3800M, 1-2hrs

    We drive 90km to reach a village Sissu in Lahoul valley crossing over mighty Rohtang pass (3970m) which is the gateway to Lahoul & Spiti and Leh Zanskar. Village Sissu is abode of local deity called ‘Raja Gepan’, is chief deity of Buddhist as well as Hindus of the entire lahoul valley. We follow a narrow road up to the village monastery called Labrang, from here we start our trek to reach 1st camp site , in the beginning it’s a half an hours gradual climb there after we reach on open meadow, which is very scenic and colourful with alpine flowers. After first shelter of shepherd we traverse gradually towards the end of valley where lake is situated. Overnight stay and dinner in camp.

  3. Day 03 TREK TO ALLIYAS 4000M , 3-4hrs

    After breakfast we follow shepherds trail which is along the dry canal. We have to cross small streams a couple of time on the way and negotiate 2 narrow trails which is steep in some places but its safe. There are little ups and downs till we reach camp site just 1km before the lake. Camp site is located on a beautiful ground with small stream following in the middle. Dinner and overnight stay in camp.

  4. Day 04 TREK TO ALLIYAS LAKE & BACK TO CAMP

    Today we start leisurely to touch the lake Alliyas, ,situated between the mountains and having the cold chilled water of glacier, far in one side of lake we can see a huge wall of glacier, and pieces of glacier falling and floating in to the blue clear water of lake. After exploring the lake and surrounding area we walk back to camp.

  5. Day 05 TREK DOWN TO SISSU & DRIVE TO MANALI

    After having breakfast by early morning we trek 5-6 hrs gradual down to village Sissu following the same route. Cab will be ready to take us back to Manali, crossing one more time over the mighty Rohtang pass. Overnight stay at Manali.
