  1. Day 01 Morning Arrival at Manali (Known as “The Heaven on Earth”)

Today we will meet and greet with our representative at Volvo stand, followed by a transfer to the hotel. Post breakfast and freshen up, gather at the hotel’s lobby to meet with the accompanying cruise and briefing.

Today is your first visit to “Hadimba Devi Temple” which is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, built in 1553 in a clearing among ancient deodars. Built by Maharaja Bahadur Singh, the 27m high pagoda temple has a 3 tier roof and some fine naturalistic wood carving of animals and plants, especially around the doorway. The structure itself is relatively crude, and the pagoda is far from perfectly perpendicular. Massive deodar planks form the roof, but in contrast to the massive scale of the exterior wooden structures the brass image of the goddess Hadimba.

Later in the afternoon you pedal further on & you come to a small village called “Naggar” where a medieval castle awaits you which is built in traditional pahari style (Kathkuni). You will enjoy an opportunity to have a delicious lunch of fresh local products. Naggar Castle is a wooden traditional local architecture with carved balconies with scenic views of the Beas Valley.
